Union Diamond - very positive buying experience
Just purchased my first diamond ever. After much research I decided to purchase from Union Diamond. They seemed to have a great selection, competitive prices and once I spoke with Barbara I knew they had the service I was looking for.Barbara from UD was great to work with. I spoke with her on the phone and had a couple stones in mind, but told her what was important to me in a diamond. We reviewed the stones that I had in mind and she offered to have the stones reviewed and then made a recommendation on which stone best matched the qualities I told her I was looking for.So I ordered the diamond. Union shipped it overnight so I had it the next morning which I thought was very nice and I really appreciated the order confirmation with the tracking number so I could see where it was at along the way. The diamond came and looked just great to me. Of course I am a skeptic so I went and got the diamond appraised locally. The review on the diamond from the gemologist blew me away - he gave me the appriasal, wholesale and retail value of the diamond. All where much higher than what I paid, after he gave me his numbers he asked what I paid and told me that I did pretty well for myself. One other note her: I was very impressed with Union's honest with diamonds. As I mentioned I was looking at three diamonds and asked Barbara for a recommendation on which one. The one she recommended was not the highest price diamond, but the lowest - this told me she was more interested in making sure I got the diamond I was looking than making sure she got the commission she was looking for.The only negative comment I can think to make is that they give a discount for wire transfers - the diamond I purchased came up on the search engine I used with the cash dicsount price. I wanted to pay with my Visa due to the purchase protection. I would have liked to have seen this price on the search engine and then had the cash discount offered to me after selection. All in all a very positive experience with Union and Barbara specifically. I would not buy a diamond any other way and would definitely buy one from Baraba again!!

The answer to my problem....
I wanted to buy my wife-to-be a great ring, but was having trouble finding anything in my price range. I finally found the perfect diamond- it was around $ 3,000 and met all my expectations. But, the diamond sold before I could move on it. Reluctantly, I started looking elsewhere. But- Tony contacted me- said they had a diamond almost the same as the one I had been interested in- and he was right!! It was only $40 more and was actually a BETTER diamond. So, I ordered it.The ring was gorgeous. The diamond was perfect. I immediately took it to a local jeweler to have it appraised- it appraised for $5800- almost twice what I paid for it.All I can say is this- check other places, check with the BBB, check at your local mall- and then come back to Union and get the most bang for your buck.

Engagement Ring Success!
I was anxious about making such a substantial purchase online and at first I spent a day or two browsing the database and getting used to the idea. Eventually I made my way to Leah Cawley, a sales rep, over the phone, who was a HUGE help. We spent another day or two going back and forth over diamonds in the database. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to inspect each diamond for me, helping me limit it down to the perfect choice (she was able to verify cut, color, etc.). Together we came up with a great setting to complete the ring.I did a lot of research and pricing before I came to Union Diamond. I know I got the best deal for my budget. And the finished product was fantastic. Not being able to touch or see the ring beforehand was tough, but after dealing with Leah I was pretty confident I did well--and the 30 day return really helps. But the finished product blew me away. I would make another substantial purchase from Union Diamond in a heartbeat. Extremely, extremely pleased with the results.And once again, Leah was great.-bk

I spent days searching the internet comparing prices, quality and service. I walked into several jewelery stores but in the end i made the smart decision to purchase from UnionDiamond.com.
