Round Good Cut 0.90 Carat Diamond
Round Brilliant Cut: 0.90 carat D in Color and IF in Clarity Good Cut - Item AE0760187
This diamonds cut allow it to be classified as a Good Cut by expert Gemologists. Its cut allows for a good display of fire and brilliance. As with the Ideal, Premium & Very Good Cut, light that enters a Good Cut diamond is reflected from facet to facet. Much of that light is reflected to the top of the diamond. A good cut diamond will still produce an array of fire, beauty and brilliance.
Diamond Grading Reports: What you need to know
The basic features of any diamond grading report include information on a diamond’s cut, shape, carat weight, color, and clarity as well as grades for symmetry and polish, dimensions, level of fluorescence, a unique report number and a plot depicting the type and location of the stone’s major inclusions. While the measurements and mathematical cut and clarity are fairly straightforward there is a bit more of a grey area when it comes to color and clarity which are both judged by the human eye and using standards that can vary from lab to lab. This is why it is so important to trust your eyes, and your Union Diamond consultant when it comes to selecting your stone. Just as every diamond is unique the plots, for example, of two SI2 diamonds will look quite different. One might show a large feather on the right side of the diamonds, while another may have several small crystals located under the table. Which should you choose? Just looking at the plot, it is very difficult to tell what kind of impact these inclusions will have on the diamond. Your consultant, with their years of experience and training, will be able to interpret the grading report and judge the stone itself to find your perfect diamond.
So you're ready to start your search and you notice that there are a lot of different labs to choose from, which should you trust? In short, all of them. Think of diamonds like university students and grading labs as universities. IGI and EGL are large state universities like UGA and Alabama, GIA is the Ivy League, and AGS is like a top engineering school like MIT. Each student selects the university that they feel is the best fit for them and diamond cutters select the grading lab that they feel best fits their diamonds. And also like universities, you will pay a premium for an 'Ivy League' grading report from GIA. A diamond with a grading report from IGI or EGL is still going to be a beautiful diamond, but you don’t have to pay the premium for the prestigious name and history.
So trust your instincts, your eyes, and your knowledgeable diamond consultants to ensure that you find the certified diamond that's perfect for you! For complete details on Diamond Grading, please see this link.
