Shape: Pear
The PEAR SHAPE, technically known as “Pear-Shaped Modified Brilliant” is a cut whose shape is based on modifications to the traditional round brilliant. Although it appears a combination of Marquise and Oval the closer a “Pears” shoulders are to a round rather than squared outline the more desirable it is. This brilliant tear drop shape also belongs to that category of diamond whose design most complements a hand with small or average-length fingers to give that lengthening effect. It is particularly well suited for pendants or earrings.

Color: L
A diamond in the K, L or M color range can be a particularly pleasing diamond to certain individuals. Its subtle yellowish tint and warm glow can be quite pleasing for the person wearing such a gem. To enhance the diamonds appearance, look for one that has a fine cut and medium or strong blue fluorescence.

Clarity: VVS2
A diamond graded as a VVS2 is still considered elite in terms of clarity grading. It is nearly impossible to tell the difference between a VVS1 and a VVS2 graded diamond under 10X magnification, but there is usually a price difference which makes it just as popular to those looking for a near flawless diamond.
